Three things shape every PestSwift job
UAE pest control has a long history of spray-and-go — fast, cheap, and doesn't actually solve the problem. A treated kitchen looks dead for two weeks; then the cockroaches come back, because the population was never addressed at the harborage.
We were started by technicians and entomologists who believed the UAE deserved better. Three principles drive every job we do.
1. Source-based, not surface
German cockroaches in a UAE apartment kitchen don't live where you see them. They live in cracks and voids — behind the fridge, inside the dishwasher motor cavity, under sink edges, in hinge channels. Surface spray hits maybe 10% of the population. The rest survive, mate, and you're back where you started in two weeks.
Our default treatment is gel-bait placed precisely in voids and harborage points. Workers feed on the bait, return to the harborage, defecate and die — and the rest of the colony eats the corpses, transferring the active ingredient through the population. One properly placed gel treatment beats three spray treatments.
For mosquitoes, source-based means finding every standing-water container on your property — irrigation drip lines, AC condensate trays, plant saucers — and treating each with biological larvicide. Killing adult mosquitoes is whack-a-mole; eliminating breeding sources is the actual fix.
2. Family-safe by default
Most of our residential jobs are family homes with children, pets and elderly parents. Our default protocol uses:
- Odourless, low-toxicity gel-baits for cockroaches and ants
- Crack-and-crevice residual in places kids and pets can't reach
- Insect growth regulators (IGRs) for population suppression — these affect only insect biology
- HEPA vacuum and steam for bed bugs (chemical-second, not chemical-first)
We reserve aerosol fogging and broad-spectrum residual for situations where they're actually needed (warehouses, severe commercial infestations) — not as a default for a family bedroom.
3. Documented, every time
We're a Dubai Municipality-approved pest control company, registered with Abu Dhabi Public Health Center, Sharjah Municipality-licensed and an NPMA member. Every treatment we perform is logged. Every chemical we use is on the approved list. Every technician on our team holds the relevant pesticide handling certification.
